BBQ Mushroom Poppers
Ingredients:
Button mushrooms
A sprinkle of salt, pepper, and sugar
A drizzle of oil.
Method:
Place mushrooms in a bowl and drizzle with oil.
Add the salt, pepper & sugar letting it sit for 10 mins (you will see some of the moisture come out and this will help the BBQ Rub stick).
Add enough of The Aussie Smoker Signature BBQ Rub so all the shrooms are covered.
In a hot and dry fry pan, add the shrooms and keep 'shoozing' around.
At the point the water starts coming out turn off the heat & keep moving the pan (this will prevent the shrooms from becoming soggy & the aim is to have a little bite).
Serve hot, add some leaves for colour & enjoy.
Top Tip! Dip in some mayo or add a squirt of lemon for an extra zing.
